Privatization of Public The decision by Government to privatize most of its parastatals offers opportunities for local and foreign entrepreneurs to acquire wholly or in part, some of Government's on-going enterprises. Individuals and groups interested in taking advantage of these investment opportunities may contact: The Director General INVESTMENT – RELATED INFRASTRUCTURE Monrovia Industrial Park: The Monrovia Industrial Park (MIP) is al 1,110 acres plot of land expropriated by the Government of Liberia for the exclusive purpose of accommodating industrial activities as an investment promotion strategy. The facility which is only seven(7) miles form central Monrovia, is linked to the City by paved road which also connects the Freeport of Monrovia. The paved road is linked to the City by paved road which leads to the country's largest airport, The Roberts International Airport (RIA). But for the devastating impact of the civil war, the park had access to basic utilities such as power, telephone, pipe borne water and sewer facilities. The early reactivation of these utilities are being contemplated by the Government. Liberia Industrial Freezone Authority (LIFZA): The Liberia Industrial Free Zone Authority (LIFZA) was established as a public corporation in July, 1975, in accordance with government's policy to encourage and promote foreign cooperation and Investments.
